Code Compliance is tricky. In essence you have a written code in a few areas of focus and a written plan, but then you have a human who reviews the plans meet the written code. This is perfect for AI to accomplish. Once it locates the compliant areas, it also give the areas it could not find and designers can point or fix. AI truly speeds everything up.

Wont planners get upset by this?

In our opinion, no. They will embrace it, for the following reasons:

1) They have too much to do. Cities and Counties earn more fees on the BIG projects, not single family homes. AI assistance helps the focus return there.

2) The liability of missing something is now insured by a 3rd party who assumes the risk. This allows for far greater accuracy and far less concern over municipal processing timelines.

3) The city can earn expedite fees for accepting approved plans.

Will they accept the plans?

Yes, Ca law has changed to allow 3rd party review. And frankly, it is about time. There is a huge need for speed.
